SteeperUSA launches bebionic3 myo-electric hand at AOPA 2012

SteeperUSA, one of the world’s leading prosthetic manufacturers held the official world launch of bebionic3, the next generation of its leading–edge, fully articulating, myoelectric hand – at the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association 2012 National Assembly, which took place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from 6th to 9th September 2012.

The innovative new hand offers significant improvements over the existing bebionic, including a revolutionary new design, and advanced new materials that make it more durable, whilst improving the grip, strength and accuracy. In addition, the hand features significant aesthetic improvements, smart electronics, and all new software that enhances both functionality and ease of use.

Following a successful launch, SteeperUSA anticipates that this third generation of bebionic hand will prove very popular with clinicians and end users in markets worldwide.

The original bebionic hand was unveiled at the 2010 Hanger Education Fair in Reno, Nevada. With a lifelike appearance, and industry-leading functionality, bebionic is designed to offer amputees a lighter, more accurate and more affordable alternative to other myo-electric hands.
