Fetish Photographer Dirk Hooper Displays at Allentown’s Freak Out Festival

World-renowned fetish photographer Dirk Hooper will have two pieces on display at the “Buffet of Lowbrow” group exhibition.

ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA, June 17, 2010 – World-renowned fetish photographer Dirk Hooper will have two pieces on display at the “Buffet of Lowbrow” group exhibition.  Hooper’s canvas art prints will be part of a show featuring over twenty invited artists Push Art Gallery in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  The “Buffet of Lowbrow” group exhibition will begin Saturday, June 19 during Allentown’s “Freak Out Festival.”

Dirk Hooper said, “The gang at Push Art Gallery is really doing an amazing job of presenting interesting and cutting-edge art.  I’m proud to be a part of this show because I admire the work of the other artists so much.”  Hooper’s contributions are two canvas halftone art prints.  One print, titled “Zing” features Toxic Goddess Selkie in a Shibari rig.  The second print, co-created with photographer Robert Henry and featuring Toxic Goddess Kali, was the first canvas halftone art print Hooper designed titled “Out of Sight”.

“Buffet of Lowbrow” will be part of Allentown’s “Freak Out Festival” on Saturday, June 19th.  The opening for the show will begin at 1 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. Art N Soul Studios at 516 West Hamilton Street.  The surf-punk band “The Great White Caps” will be live and there will be a live graffiti mural painting by New York City’s URNewYork and Konnik.

Dirk Hooper is a world-renowned fetish and fantasy photographer, fine artist, and writer whose work has been described as “forbidden tales to rival the likes of H.P.
