Unlike in the past, it is now easy to detect when e.g. a product text is no longer correct. This makes the company able to correct errors, which were previously not even discovered. The 25-50% time saving, that is a consequence, is now channeled into creating much better quality results.

Before implementing Perfion PIM, Buch & Holm maintained product texts in an own developed Access database and product specifications in their Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system. From these two systems, an employee had to manually export the product texts and product data and import them into the eCommerce system.
The product texts could only be exported from the Access database one at a time. Consequently, Buch & Holm were not able to automatically put together a catalog containing various products. The Access solution was vulnerable because only one employee could transfer the texts.
It was extremely time consuming to maintain data in multiple systems.
Perfion PIM convinced at the first presentation
Buch & Holm’s Catalogue Manager Lisbeth Krog explains:

A PIM that integrates into existing IT platform

Like the ERP system, Sana Commerce automatically picks data and updates from Perfion. This ensures full use of all three systems with huge time savings as a consequence.

PDF catalogs are created extremely fast with Perfion Buch & Holm can quickly and anytime build PDF catalogs with selected product groups using Perfion. Since the catalogs are composed in the very moment they are needed, they always contain the actual prices and updates.
Because the Product Information Management system interacts with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the company can also create customized catalogs as well as special catalogs with specifically selected information for the customers. Information is picked directly from Dynamics NAV, displayed in a view that is set up in Perfion, and from here exported as Excel files. The customers are free to select the fields they want to display in their files.
