Synergy Learning Gives Back to Education in Ethiopia

As a result of their recent launch of their CSR initiative, SL1%, eLearning provider Synergy Learning has donated to Stand By Me, a charity dedicated to helping the poorest children in Ethiopia.

SL1% is an initiative whereby the company aims to give back 1% of time, services and profit to help charities and communities that support educational and learning needs worldwide.

Stand By Me met this criteria and was selected due to the great work they do helping children with not only food and water supplies but with their education. Synergy Learning’s substantial donation will be used for building and equipping a school for 240 of the poorest kids in the region.

Al Bennett from Stand By me, said,

“For children growing up in Dembi Dollo, in Western Ethiopia life is very tough. But thanks to generous donations like the one from Synergy Learning, we are able to give these children genuine hope for a much better future, not only by providing food and clothing – but also by providing a good education. This in turn will give them opportunities they simply wouldn’t have had otherwise – a chance to improve life for their families.”
