Whatidlove Leads The Field Of Next Generation Online Gift Lists

Press release October 6, 2009 Lifestyle

Lots of wedding couples are still putting their wedding list with an average of three retailers, making the process of managing it very complicated for them and their guests. Whatidlove, the online gift list, provides a solution to this problem...

Those who have discovered Whatidlove online gift registry are able to put all their individual requests onto one easy to use list and add gifts from any retailer they choose. Not only that, they can single out large expensive items for “contributions” which then allows friends and family to give money towards the item.

“This feature of the gift list has become really useful to people and we are seeing more and more users taking up this option for large expensive items and even honeymoons. Guests are happy to contribute money and prefer to see the gift they are contributing towards. We wanted to create an online gift list service that put the user first. We are really excited to see growing numbers use our free service for all sorts of occasions and not just weddings!” says co- founder Kim Brookes.

Whatidlove.co.uk also has a Boutique section where many small independent retailers and designers (sourced from all over the UK) feature their unique products. These fabulous products can not only be purchased direct but can also be added to a gift wish list along side multiple high street retailers.

The gift list system is really flexible and has these key features:

  • Add by category – products/retailers set out into categories,
  • Add from any retailer – choose any retailer on or off line
  • Ask for contributions – tick the “contributions” box when you add the item.
  • One online gift list – a free and easy to manage single list
  • Any occasion (Wedding gift lists, Birthdays, Christmas, Anniversaries etc.)

Whatidlove.co.uk has put the flexibility and management into the hands of the user allowing them the opportunity to produce a gift list that reflects the personality of the couple or individual. Free to use and easy to access it is certainly leading the field.

Notes: The whatidlove service is free to the user.  However adding contributory items to a list does incur a small surcharge of 6.5% to cover bank handling and admin costs. When the money is requested by the wedding couple the funds are transferred to their bank account less the charge.
