Now is the time to start planning 2010 holidays. Virgin Holidays has a destination for everyone. Whether you love the beach, the snow, or somewhere exotic there is a holiday out there just for you.

One of the Caribbean’s most beautiful destinations is Antigua. Antigua has 365 beaches. Do I hear you thinking one for every day of the year? What a holiday that would be, Antigua will enchant you with its white sand beaches, swaying palm trees and turquoise waters that are protected by a wall of coral reef where you can enjoy snorkeling and scuba-diving. Take a jeep tour with one of the many tour operators and see Antigua close up as you explore the countryside. You will pass banana trees, hibiscus flowers and many fruit stands. Here you can purchase fresh melon, papaya, or try raw sugar cane. Stop at Stingray City where you have the chance to pet stingrays. After that you can snorkel on the nearby reef and swim with the colourful tropical fish.

For the snow-lovers there is nothing more exhilarating than a ski holiday in Vail, Colorado. Vail Mountain, the largest in the United States, has 5,289 acres and 34 lifts. There are marked trails for all levels of skiing. A good part of the front of Vail Mountain is for intermediate skiers, advanced skiers can find adventure runs in the area known as the Blue Sky Basin. As a bonus your lift ticket also allows you to go to Beaver Creek in nearby Breckenridge. After a day of skiing, head on over to the village in Vail for your choice of restaurants and bars where you can listen to live music or sit out on a deck and watch the last of the evening skiers.

If the thought of ancient treasures, old civilizations and the call of a muezzin has you shivering in anticipation of exotic sights, smells and tastes then Egypt is the place for your 2010 holiday. Wake up to the early call of the muezzin and stop at a café for an early breakfast of tea or coffee with t’aamiyya. Then start your day with the pyramids at Giza. The largest, and most famous, pyramid at Giza is the Pyramid of Khufu; this pyramid is the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that still exists. A short distance away is the Great Sphinx. It was sculpted out of sandstone and is 200 feet long by 65 feet tall. The Great Sphinx faces the rising sun and has the first sun temple ever built in front of it.

With so many great places to see the hardest part will be choosing the right place for you. So start thinking about what you want to do on your 2010 holiday and make your plans with Virgin Holidays.
