- appoints Robert Smith MBA as Executive MBA programme director

The Management Centre at Bangor Business School is pleased to welcome Robert Smith MBA as a member of the team.  Robert will be responsible for driving the Executive MBA programme, which is innovatively tailored to meet the needs of organisations, management professionals and high-flyers intent on significantly developing their careers. 

The part-time Executive MBA is designed to provide a challenging and flexible experience in an environment dedicate to learning.  In a block release format of four days, six times a year, the programme creates the atmosphere of the full-time cohort for those who do not have the time to attend on a weekly basis.

The Executive MBA is one qualification in a suite of programmes offered by The Management Centre, which includes a part-time Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership for Collaboration, aimed to equip public sector managers with the insight and skills to meet the Welsh public service agenda, professional qualifications from The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, as well as qualifications in Leadership & Management and Coaching & Mentoring from The Institute of Leadership and Management.

Background

The Management Centre offers a range of executive education, consisting of part and full-time postgraduate programmes from Bangor University Business School, certificated professional qualifications, accountancy qualifications and management development short courses, all of which can be delivered in house for clients. 

Programmes are delivered in high specification training and meeting rooms, lecture theatres or our fully-equipped IT suite, all of which are available to hire for meetings and conferences.

The Management Centre is able to cater for overnight guests and delegates in beautifully designed, hotel-standard guest accommodation.  â€˜Courts' at The Management Centre offers restaurant dining with views over the Menai Straits and a coffee shop, which is open daily to the public, providing an informal meeting place with Wi-Fi access.

The Centre for Business Research and Market Intelligence, (CBRmi) within The Management Centre provides consultancy services for organisations in Wales.

The Management Centre was part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government through Objective 1 and Gwynedd Council Local Regeneration Fund.
