Ronaldo Is World Cup’s Most Attractive Player

The survey conducted by competition website PrizeBoom.com saw the ex-Manchester United man and current Armani underwear model, fight off competition from the likes of Thierry Henry and Ashley Cole to win the crown.
The wing ace was chosen by 31% of the voters, England’s Ashley Cole came a surprising second with 19% and Mr va va vroom Thierry Henry ranked third with 16% of the vote.
It’s thought Henry may have ranked higher had he spent more time on the pitch rather than sat on the bench.
Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba, Fabio Cannavaro, Kaka and Thomas Sorensen also made the shortlist.
Former model David James was the only other England player to receive any votes, showing at 39 that age is nothing but a number when it comes to looking good.
The likes of Wayne Rooney, Franck Ribery and Carlos Tevez didn’t win a single vote.
The site’s founder Farnaz Khan said it was always going to be a tough decision with so many athletic men to choose from.
She said: “They say women only watch the football to stare at the men and with the World Cup lasting a month there’s plenty of time to pick your favourites.
“With more than 700 players, from 32 countries involved in the tournament there was sure to be something for everyone, but we wanted to know once and for all who was the fittest.”
Mrs Khan admits she wasn’t surprised that Cristiano Ronaldo took the crown but was shocked that Ashley Cole scored so highly.
She said: “Ronaldo has a cult following, especially amongst young girls who go for the pretty, slick and muscular look, so I wasn’t at all surprised when I heard he’d won.
“When I found out that Ashley Cole had come second I was staggered, he’s not a bad looking guy but after his recent misdemeanours I thought this might’ve detracted from his appeal, obviously it didn’t.
“I’m a big fan of Thierry Henry, he’s sexy, sophisticated and well dressed, plus I love his French accent. I expected him to come higher up in the chart than third place.
“In all honesty David Beckham was still the best looking person involved with the World Cup – it’s a pity he wasn’t playing.”
