A SPARKLING GEM FIT FOR THE DISCERNING WEST LONDON CROWD

June 2010 will see the re-launch of world-renowned bar and steak house, The Lonsdale in Notting Hill. Designed by the internationally recognised interior designers ‘Dtwo’, the 250 capacity venue combines an elegant décor with an extensive cocktail, wine and food menu.

THE LONSDALE - FOOD & DRINK

The restaurant operates on the ground floor of The Lonsdale site, which has a seating capacity of 60 people, offering a comprehensive steakhouse menu complimented by regularly rotating seasonal vegetables and vegetarian options. The emphasis on quality is apparent through the choice of the UK’s oldest and esteemed suppliers, Allens of Mayfair.

Highlights of the menu inlude:

  • A variety of free range steak cuts with a choice of peppercorn, bearnaise, grain
  • mustard or blue cheese sauce to complement your beef (£15.00- £27.50)
  • seared scallops & chorizo served on butternut squash puree (£8.00)
  • Marinated & Roasted tamworth pork ribs (£9.50)

The drinks menu at The Lonsdale is a connoisseur’s choice of fine wines and cocktails, reinforcing the venue’s long standing reputation as the industry standard cocktail bar. Beautifully designed, the cocktail menu is a definitive bibliography of cocktails and lists the earliest known cocktails such as the 16th century Drake’s Mojito and 19th century Punches and Cups, through to today’s contemporary classics.

THE LONSDALE - DESIGN

The interior of The Lonsdale is designed by Dtwo, three times winners of Theme Magazine’s ‘best new late-night bar award’ and this year’s winners of the coveted ‘Ones to Watch’ award.

Dtwo’s Dave Knight says: “We understand The Lonsdale’s values and have adapted an already great, if slightly rough diamond, to transform it into a sparkling gem fit for the discerning West London crowd.”
