IronmongeryOnline who prides itself on innovation has launched a re design of the site and a ‘One Page Checkout’ more befitting of the quality products it stocks and sells across the world.

IronmongeryOnline was born in 1955 selling Ironmongery to the trade, now with an inventory approaching 30,000 they have undertaken a revamp of the site, based on in depth analysis of its customer’s feedback.

Vicky Tomline, Sales & Marketing Manager says that listening to customers at every level is how they shape their brand. ‘We analyse all feedback we get from our customers and use these comments as the catalyst for our site improvement.’ ‘Our One Page Check Out is now streamlined for a speedier route to purchase. Other new features include economy delivery at £3.50 and pick-a-day. Pick-a-day was created as a result of comments from business customers who were ordering to send the products to site, now this can be done days, weeks or even months in advance.’

IronmongeryOnline migrated online in 2007 and since then has gone from strength to strength, now predicting a turnover of 2 million in 2012.

When asked why IronmongeryOnline had not followed its competitors by publishing a catalogue, Vicky stated that they see catalogues as a back step and with a view to future proofing the business all investment is focussed online. ‘All products online are updated real time in terms of information and stock levels so you can be sure that what you order will be what you receive.’

Vicky went on to say, ‘2012 is proving very exiting for the business, we are not putting the brakes on at all, we have just moved our parcel delivery to DPD which offers a notification of your delivery expected time. We also expect our already huge inventory to keep growing. We now stock brands such as Yale, Abus, Squire, Ronseal, Karcher and trusted brand Black & Decker as well as focusing on the core range of ironmongery, fasteners and chain.’
