Hundreds More Given Opportunity To Become UK’s First Bingo Bride

Press release May 25, 2010 Lifestyle

The search for the UK’s first ever bingo bride has proved so popular that the deadline for entries has been extended by a further month.

The competition, which was set to close on the 31st May, has attracted hundreds of entrants from across the UK, forcing organisers to extend the deadline to the 30th June to give more brides-to be a chance to throw their bouquet into the ring.

Bingo comparison website OnlineBingoClub.co.uk are offering one luck couple £5000 towards the cost of their wedding – but only if they tie the knot this summer.

The site is offering the cash in return for the chance to sponsor a traditional summer wedding.

The only catch? The happy couple must sport the website’s logo on their invitations, place settings and pose for promotional photos and publicity material.

The bride will also be expected to wear a logo on her wedding dress which will later be removed before personal photos are taken.

Rob Hutchison from OnlineBingoClub.co.uk, said, “Weddings are costly affairs and it can take years of saving to have enough cash to splash out on a really special day.

“We want to help one couple have the day they’ve always dreamed off. You hear people say they don’t want a big wedding, but who hasn’t dreamt of the big white dress, fancy cars and extravagant honeymoon?

“The £5000 can be spent however the happy couple chooses – we just want to make sure they have a day to remember.”

Competition organisers have already received numerous entries and are now on the lookout for anyone planning to tie the knot during 2010.

Rob said, “We all love a summer wedding – me included – so what we’re really looking for is a couple planning to get hitched this summer. It’ll give us all something to look forward to and talk about after the dreary winter.”

To enter the competition brides to be must send in pictures of themselves and their partner, a short biography about their relationship and 100 words on what it would mean to them to become the world’s first bingo bride, to [email protected] .
