Harveys report record sales of recliners as people relax at home

Harveys the furniture store report their sales of sofas and chairs with recliner actions are continuing to rise as holistic massage is on the increase close to homes.

Sofas and chairs with recliner actions are more popular than any other function added to furniture despite customers paying more for the privilege.  It seems that despite the recession, people tired after a hard day at work are doing more to ensure they can relax.

This comes at the same time as spa and pamper days also being reported as being on the rise.

Charlton Botha from Essential Feeling holistic massage therapies in Essex is quoted as saying: "at times when people are under economic pressure, they may not be able to afford to go away on the same holidays that they previously enjoyed and so they choose to continue to enjoy regular holistic massage and reflexology treatments local to their own homes".

Karen Broderick, trend watch expert at Harveys the furniture store supports this: "it stands to reason that if people are not going away for their relaxation but having it close to home instead, then they will carry that little piece of relaxation tonic in to their homes by investing in functionality such as a recliner".
