Harvey Jones Kitchens Finds Improved Recipe For Corporate IT

Harvey Jones chooses entrustIT as its strategic technology partner.

Harvey Jones, one of the UK's largest suppliers of handmade kitchens, has recently chosen entrustITas its strategic technology partner.

Under the agreement, entrustIT will deliver Harvey Jones IT systems through the highly successful entrust Hosted Desktop product range. For Harvey Jones, this will mean major improvements to systems security, ease of use and collaborative working.
 
Darren Woolsgrove, Harvey Jones Finance Director, says, "The success of our business means that our IT needs are constantly growing and becoming more complex. We have ambitious expansion plans and we needed an IT model able to support this growth whilst at the same time helping us to improve our internal working".

The entrust solution will be deployed for all Harvey Jones users including Head Office, Manufacturing, and across the network of UK showrooms, which currently stands at sixteen with plans for many more. "Our users design and build beautiful kitchens" says Woolsgrove, "they shouldn't have to be IT experts too. They need to be able to access our systems easily and to work together safely and securely wherever they are in our business."

Harvey Jones systems will be housed in entrustIT's London data centre so that entrustIT take care of all backups and other systems management issues. Users access their systems safely and securely, using an encrypted internet connection from any location via a single sign-on. Mobile personnel such as area managers can even access the system from mobile internet connections 'on the road'.  

As well as providing a fully hosted IT service, entrustIT will also be responsible for training and supporting all of Harvey Jones users together with hardware supply and infrastructure delivery as the showroom network expands.
