Despite the best efforts of loyal supporters and a change of management last month, Harlow Town F.C started the football season 10 points down this weekend, as it proposes a CVA (Company Voluntary Arrangement).

Del O’Sullivan from LD Financial Services one of the main sponsors of Harlow Town Football Club has worked in conjunction with Hodgsons Chartered Accountants to prepare the information for the CVA proposal.

Steven Wiseglass an Insolvency Practitioner at Hodgsons Chartered Accountants, Timperley, Cheshire commented on the situation, “We are confident we can work closely with creditors to come to an agreement enabling Harlow Town F.C to survive this turbulent time and all being well, rise again in better times.  Harlow F.C has made a sensible decision which will allow them, with the support of their fans, to re-build what is clearly a much loved team and Club.”

Dramatically, earlier last month senior figures within the Club resigned as the total debt figure reached over £270,000.

Steven Wiseglass says of the current action, “This CVA probably gives the club its best chance of survival.  At this time, it’s vital for the supporters and the town to unite in all efforts to build it back to the success it has previously enjoyed”.
