Females Won’t Give Up on the World Cup, Even After England Bomb Out

Press release June 28, 2010 Sport

Despite England’s swift exit from the World Cup, women in England haven’t given up on the tournament, with a whopping 72% claiming they intend to watch the remaining matches, according to a new survey.

Despite England’s swift exit from the World Cup, women in England haven’t given up on the tournament, with a whopping 72% claiming they intend to watch the remaining matches, according to a new survey.

It would appear that women in the UK are still enthused about the World Cup, perhaps more so than the men of the country (and with good reason, considering that it won’t be as painful as watching England play).  A survey for Gaming Supermarket found that just 5% of females claimed that they would be avoiding the football this summer.

In a result that completely quashes the idea of football being “a man’s game”, 95% of women surveyed claimed that they would be watching the World Cup this summer and 72% of those won’t be giving up just because England are out.

Any hopes that men may have had about sneaking out to the pub to watch the football may be dashed, with 44% of those asked claiming that they were most likely to watch games in a pub or bar.

Because of this wave of support, Gaming Supermarket is pulling out all the stops to ensure that their customers, whether they love or hate the beautiful game, get the best World Cup betting bonuses throughout June and July with a range of fantastic offers.
