Exeter City Council honour Pectel Group with “Premier Green” Accreditation

26th March 2008 – Pectel (Wales) Limited, a division of The Pectel Group, one of the largest asbestos removal companies in the UK have been awarded an Exeter City Council “Premier Green" Accreditation.

At the end of 2007 the Exeter Green Accord was launched and seeks a commitment from companies that supply to the Council, to reduce the environmental impact of all their actions and functions for the long term benefit of Exeter City Council.


The Premier Green accreditation is the highest level available to companies and was awarded to Pectel (Wales) Ltd one of the largest Pectel regional offices for successfully completing the Exeter Green Accord Self Assessment.


Steve Haim, Group Quality, Health & Environmental Director said "We are very proud of our Welsh division and their commitment to the environment is echoed throughout the entire group through various internal and external initiatives throughout 2008 and beyond."


The Pectel Group already operates an environmental management system accredited by the British Standard Institution to BS EN ISO 14001 and were also awarded a Green Apple National Gold award in 2007.
