Cream Communications, the Nottingham-based PR-led marketing agency, has launched its new website.
Cream Communications has launched its new website. The site has been built using the existing platform Wordpress, overlaid with a theme allowing a personalised design, from which to launch a variety of topical updates through tools such as Twitter, news feeds and articles.
Cream is a PR (http://www.creamcommunications.co.uk/pr) and communications agency based in Nottingham. Its website was created by Occam Interactive, a local Nottingham company. The team at Occam identified Wordpress as the best tool to meet the brief from Cream. Carrie Eames, Director of Cream Communications (http://www.creamcommunications.co.uk/) said;
'The Wordpress platform overlaid with a theme was a brilliant solution for Cream; we wanted a site that would naturally rank quite highly, plus being a tool which would allow us some flexibility in design and content, letting us evolve the site as new technologies and online trends come through. Importantly the solution that Occam Interactive provided was also cost-effective, which in these times has got to be an important factor for many businesses.'
The website is deliberately functional - it has been designed with ease of navigation in mind, to clearly introduce the reader to Cream - the background to the company, what Cream actually does and what it has already delivered for other clients.
Carrie goes onto explain; 'We wanted a website that quite clearly explains to people who we are and what we do, to help people get a 'feel' for us. Our ethos is that building relationships is absolutely fundamental to business success, whether that's business-to-business or companies interacting with consumers; we think this website can act as a good introduction to us as a company - helping people understand what we are all about, so that they can decide if they want to start building a relationship with us.'
The Cream website has been launched with the functionality to feed through Cream's twitter account, Creamcomms (http://twitter.com/creamcomms ), as well as a feed from photo library Flickr and the bookmarking site Delicious. In addition, Cream uses the website to share its views on PR and marketing campaigns and news from the wider industry through the Views from Cream http://www.creamcommunications.co.uk/category/news section.
