Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing and drivers Adam Jones and Dan Eaves are looking forward to the third round of the 2009 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), which is scheduled for Sunday May 17th at Donington Park in Leicestershire, but for different reasons.

Jones, who headed home from the last round at Thruxton in 2nd place in the Independent Drivers Championship and in 6th place in the overall drivers standings is looking forward to the opportunity to consolidate his position in the championship. Adam, in his fourth consecutive BTCC season, is an experienced racer who knows how competitive BTCC championships are, 6 different drivers have won the 6 races so far this season, is already looking forward to the next 3 races: ""Obviously I'm really pleased with how it went at Thruxton, we put a lot of time into preparing the car and working on different set-ups for each race and it paid off. It's great to get a podium so early on in the season, for the team and me. I feel sorry for Dan as it was just one of those things, I'm sure I will get my fair share of back luck during the season, but with Birmingham City winning at Reading and getting promotion to the premiership it's been a good couple of weeks, I feel as a team we're capable of another podium or two before we return to Brands, given a bit of good luck."

The two team drivers had mixed fortunes at Thruxton with Dan Eaves failing to start in race one and failing to finish in races 2 and 3, completing just 4 laps of the Hampshire circuit. Dan, who has 6 BTCC wins to his credit, including 3 in one day, had this to say about his recent experience: "I can't believe what happened at Thruxton, it was as if all my bad luck came in one weekend, considering what happened last time I was there. It's been tough and I would like to thank all the fans and sponsors for their support over the past week or so. I've put it behind me now and I'm focused on the next round at Donington. The guys at the factory have done a great job on the car, I just hope it will be ready in time."

Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing in conjunction with co2 balance, the team's award winning carbon offset partner, is delighted to be able to offer all race fans travelling to Donington Park by car an opportunity to follow the lead set by the team and offset their own car's CO2 emissions for as little as £2.50. More details are available from the link on the team's web site at www.cartridgeworldcarbonzeroracing.co.uk

The Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing Team has already made its mark on the championship and the team head to Donington in 3rd place in the Independent Teams Championship proving that they can run with the 'big boys'. The Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing Team race two beautifully prepared E85 bio-ethanol powered SEAT Leon's proving that concern for the environment doesn't come with a penalty. Cartridge World, the team's title sponsor has proved that their refilled cartridges are equal to the originals with no compromise on quality. And now the racing team that carries their name is proving to be equally competitive. Live TV coverage will be available on ITV4.
