Adam Parker joins the boys' lineup, as Darrin heads home to South Africa.
The British pop band Boy Bannedannounced today that they have signed a new member. Adam Parker (pictured on the left in the photo) replaces Darrin Graham in the band’s line up from today. Adam, 19, from London has been recording and rehearsing with the other band members in secret for a month, since Darrin told his fellow band members he needed to return to South Africa for personal reasons. The news follows hot on the heels of the band’s latest single release, ‘Hot Spot’, which charted on iTunes this week. Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKdfbF8GMoc
‘It’s always been my dream to be in a band, and I’m really happy to be with such a great bunch of guys ’, said Adam. He added ‘It’s going to be tough to replace Darrin, but I’m going to put my own spin on the songs and hopefully add something new and exciting.’ A spokesman for the band’s management said ‘We are sad to say goodbye to Darrin. He’s been such an asset to the band. But Adam is a real live wire and I’m sure the fans will love him. He’s worked very hard to be able to hit the ground running, so he’ll slot in without any problems.’
Fans will be able to see Adam’s first video performance at the end of the month in the song ‘Lovesick’, which is in production now. The band’s forthcoming live performances are listed on the band’s website, www.boybanned.com
