ADROIT CONSTRUCTION TARGET RACE TRACKS

ADROIT SPONSOR GEORGE RICHARDSON TO RACE ON NEWLY COMPLETED DONINGTON CIRCUIT

George Richardson dominated his class in rounds 17 and 18 of the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Held at the newly re-opened Donington Park George secured pole position and two wins in the two races in the Pro-am 2 class. 

George, racing in car 28, carried Adroit Construction livery on his car for the first time, appropriately enough at the Donington Circuit that Adroit Construction recently repaired and renovated. Adroit Group had aspirations of taking on the operating lease at the world famous venue but negotiations with circuit owner Kevin Wheatcroft collapsed in mid August. 

After posting a scorching time in qualifying, George lined up for both races on Sunday in pole position. The popular teenager, who has been growing in confidence all year, lead race one from the first lap and managed to win by a considerable margin. The level of consistency from George lap-after-lap was clear to see and he fully deserved his maiden victory in the first race. 

Come race two, George had his sights firmly set on another victory. Again the talented 18-year-old took the lead from lap one, but was made to work hard by class rival George Brewster who was right in his wake all race. Despite the mounting pressure, George remained focused and consistent with his lap times to clinch his second win on the year and top off a faultless weekend. 

George commented: “It has been a fantastic weekend for me, the Motorbase Performance Team, and all my sponsors. Again without these people I wouldn’t be able to go out and win races. This weekend has definitely been one to remember. I felt really strong all weekend and to come away with two wins is an amazing feeling. I would like to thank the Adroit Group, Henderson Insurance Brokers and all my family and friends for their support this year”.
