Claire de Lune ® Chandelier Deluxe gets 2 siblings – BIG and MEGA

Copenhagen, January 2008- This month - January - the Claire de Lune ® Chandelier lighting series PLUS will be  "touring" Europe's big trade fairs.  First at IMM in Cologne, Germany 14-20 January, then Maison et Objet in Paris, France 25-29 January, then Ambiente in Frankfurt, Germany in February. 

Lighting and other interiors accessories, designed by Claire Requa, Copenhagen, Denmark will be presented at each of these fairs. The products include:  the Claire de Lune ®   chandelier in acrylic in 3 sizes; the Barrel lamp shades in 10 patterns, the Wall version of the chandelier, and various mirror products.

The newer items include Claire de Lune chandelier in acrylic - BIG, and mirror products.
Claire de Lune BIG measures 68 x 80 cm.
Claire de Lune MEGA measures 90 x 110 cm
Currently, MEGA is made to order.

This series intends to break the fixed conception of light - the standard - while still allowing other possibilities.

Not unlike the Emporer's New Clothes - a naked bulb has never been so well dressed.
Environmental concerns are high priority when designing products, including decisions about materials,  and packaging/shipping solutions. The design process and manufacturing take place in Denmark under the name ACCENT.

The ORIGINAL Claire de Lune Chandelier, and the Claire de Lune Barrels are made in pp - an eco-friendly plastic and like many of the other products is sold in a carrier bag, further emphasizing and encouraging the use of reusable carrier bags.

BIG will be available in stores from March 2008.
