Sale to Google Inc.

Pressmeddelande april 25, 2007 Economy

The Swedish investment company Aumar AB sells Marratech’s web based video conferencing solution to Google Inc.

”We are proud that Google has determined Marratechs technology to be so attractive that they want to purchase the rights to the companys software. Marratech is yet another example illustrating that Swedish entrepreneurs are successful in developing technology companies. It is especially pleasing that the companys team is located in Luleå”, comments Till Gutzen, partner in Cubera Private Equity which manages Aumar.

Revolutionary technology
Aumar is owned by Sjätte AP-fonden (AP6) and the Nordic private equity fund Cubera Secondary KS.

Marratech is one of eleven companies in Aumars portfolio and provides globally leading technology for video collaboration, e-meetings and web conferencing on the Internet.
”We have held an ownership position and supported Marratech since 1998 and feel it is the right time to pass over the baton to new owners”, says Mats Augurell, Senior Vice President of Sjätte AP-fonden. 'Google is in our opinion the best receiver of this baton”.
