A new website featuring Iceland's world famous salmon and trout fishing rivers has been launched as a collaboration involving most of Iceland's major outfitters. A new website featuring Iceland's world famous salmon and trout fishing rivers has been launched as a collaboration involving most of Iceland's major outfitters. The link is: www.anglingiceland.is and the site will be frequently updated with fresh news items. Over the coming weeks, new features will be added to the site.

As www.anglingiceland.is starts off it will feature 35 major rivers and beats, many of the best salmon rivers on Earth with self catering facilities or full service, plus several of the worlds best brown trout and sea trout rivers and a few sea char fisheries as well. All the rivers and beats are linked to their outfitter, thus making it easy for guests to make the right contacts according to their needs and wishes

The changing economic climate over the past months has weekened the Icelandic Krona towards other currencies, thus providing foreign anglers with the opportunity to come and fish Iceland's beautiful rivers.

At the moment the web is in it's first phase. Very soon additional stuff will be added to it: Photo galleries of each and every river and beat, features involving the featured rivers and general news. Videos will also feature, so stay tuned to us and watch the web grow.
