Ireland's New Jobs & Opportunities Website for the Arts Creative & Cultural Sector

Press release May 12, 2008 Culture

CreativeCareers.ie launched last week as Ireland’s only website especially dedicated to Jobs and Opportunities in the Arts, Creative and Cultural sector in Ireland. Receiving over a thousand hits in the first 48hrs, Creative Careers is quickly becoming Ireland’s main resource for job hunters in the creative field.

As well as Jobs and Opportunities, CreativeCareers.ie also features a list of third level college courses in the creative sector, internship and volunteering opportunities and offers career advice (Creative Careers are looking for established professionals in all creative lines of work to offer sound and practical advice).

The site covers the 'creative' sector in the broadest sense. Jobs and opportunities will be advertised in areas such as Film, TV, radio, journalism, heritage, fashion, design, acting and performance, animation as well as management and education jobs in the creative field.

Thousands of people in Ireland qualify with degrees in film, arts, music, literature and related courses every year but finding a genuinely interesting and fulfilling job is not always easy; many jobseekers who set out with high ideals often settle for second best after a disillusioning search through the media for that perfect job. CreativeCareers.ie hopes to put an end to this.

Whilst there are a number of resource websites that advertise a few jobs at a time, these tend to be in arts specific areas and not widely known to the whole creative community or general public. CreativeCareers.ie will bring all of these and more under one roof and advertise to a wider spread of the population
