The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS) and the Danish Facility Management Association (DFM NET) are launching the Danish Hub of Workplace Evolutionaries (WE) on December 4th, 2018 at the Workplace Evolution conference.

ABOUT WE

WE is a vibrant community of practice within IFMA (International Facility Management Association) focused on accelerating workplace innovation and knowledge. To date, WE has about 1500 members globally and over the past year, hubs have been launched in Sweden, Finland, Calgary and NYC to locally connect and collectively expand and deepen our workplace IQ.

The mission of WE is to stimulate workplace innovation, empower people to create, lead, and implement workplace transformation, and influence the evolution of the workplace through research and reaching outside our industry.

“HR, IT and Facility Management can achieve much more together. Together they can be true strategic partners to core business”, says Svend Bie, Director, DFM-NET.

WE’S DENMARK HUB

Like WE’s other local hubs, WE Denmark’s purpose is to build a local community of professionals interested in the workplace — designers, architects, facility managers, HR professionals, technology experts, and academics — to share and grow their workplace knowledge and expertise.

“WE HUBs bring together a global, diverse, multi-disciplinary group of experts together in order to improve the way we work, one workplace at a time”, says CIFS Director and co-founder of WE Denmark, Jeffrey Saunders.

“Work environments are currently undergoing a tremendous transformation to become more engaging and empower people with choice and options. We need to create environments that support well-being and enable innovation and productivity. The WE HUB’s will provide a great source of inspiration to advance this change”, says Peter Ankerstjerne, 2nd Vice Chair of IFMA.

WE Denmark will launch its inaugural kick-off at the Nordic Workplace Evolution Summit at Scandic Copenhagen, Vester Søgade 6, 1601 København V, Danmark on 4th December 2018. This will be the first meeting of many to come. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the newest research and insights into workplace strategy and digital transformation with experts and thought leaders. Topics will include:

  • The most influential international workplace trends and how they affect the way we work and operate
  • Examples of Organisational Workplace strategies – their strengths and weaknesses
  • How employees are involved and engaged in developing new workplace strategies
  • How the wellbeing of employees is affected by a new, more flexible way of working
