POWERSENSE HONOURED WITH THE PRESTIGE MEDAL OF HONOUR

Sydney, Australia, Monday 21 November, 2011 - The Sydney based branch office of the Danish cleantech company, PowerSense, was Monday afternoon honoured with The Diploma of Danish Export Association and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour.

The award was given to PowerSense by HRH The Crown Prince of Denmark at a ceremony held in Sydney, Australia, in conjunction with the event "State of Green - Join the Future. Think Denmark” organised by Danish Connect and the Danish Foreign Ministry.

HRH The Crown Prince of Denmark handed over The Diploma of the Danish Export Association and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour to Brian Sørensen, CEO of PowerSense.

The honour, which is awarded annually, is presented to Danish companies located outside Denmark, in recognition of outstanding efforts in promoting and marketing Danish products and services abroad.

Ulrich Ritsing, Chairman of The Danish Export Association said at the ceremony;

“Powersense is a very good example of the new type of “Green Tech” business that the Western World has to
rely on, combining high tech environmental friendly solutions with real products that are manufactured in this case in Denmark, exported and creating jobs and profit for Denmark.”

PowerSense’s turnover in Australia has tripled over the past 3 years and Australia/New Zealand is now the largest market for PowerSense. The turnover is expected to reach around 20 mill AUD $ in 2011 with a continued growth the coming years.

Brian Sørensen, CEO of PowerSense, thanked HRH, The Crown Price of Denmark, at the ceremony; 

“PowerSense is very honoured to have received this prestigious award; The Diploma of the Danish Export
Association and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour. We are especially delighted that the award was given to us by His Royal Highness, The Crown Prince of Denmark.

Brian Sørensen also stated that PowerSense receiving this award was a token of appreciation of all the hard work that has been put into the company by PowerSense’s great employees and he also took the opportunity to thank the Danish Embassy, the Danish Export Association and everybody involved in organising the event.

The Diploma of the Danish Export Association and His Royal Highness Price Henrik’s Medal of Honour

The Diploma and Medal are awarded in recognition of an outstanding effort in promoting and marketing Danish products and services abroad and can be given to persons and companies domiciled abroad, including
subsidiaries of Danish companies.

HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour has been awarded since 1982 and has previously been conferred on e.g. Danish Crown, LEGO, Oticon, Mærsk og Grundfos in countries as diverse as Scotland, Puerto Rico, Malaysia, Austria and Argentina. The award includes a medal, a diploma and the right to use the royal logo and name.
